Really dizzy and freaking out, help

I can barely type this as the room is spinning. Started taking Keflex last night for a UTI. Took the 3rd dose this afternoon and felt kind of lightheaded and dizzy but nothing too bad. Took the 4th dose about 2 hours ago and was laying down. Got up and was immediately super dizzy. Can't even walk straight. What should I do? Totally freaking out as I have to work tomorrow and won't be able to at this rate.

Is there a leaflet inside the keflex pack with a list of side effects on? Does it say you need to take plenty of fluids with it? I'm wondering if you could telephone the pharmacist for advice. UTIs come with plenty of horrible symptoms such as confusion and dizziness if it's a severe infection. Just keep safe...we don't want you falling over! Let us know how you're managing. x

It doesn't say I need to drink a lot of fluids. And I've been drinking a lot of water anyway. It says severe dizziness can be a sign of an allergic reaction but would that be true if I only experienced it after the 4th dose? This is why I hate medication!

I hear ya! I hate meds too. I think it could be an allergic reaction...I say that because I had a drug last year (lyrica)....I seemed fine at first but after a week of taking it my throat began to swell....had to stop it immediately. So, I believe it could be allergy....but I'm not medically trained....you need to speak to some one before your next dose. It's always good to drink plenty with UTIs isn't it...flush out the system!

Why do these things always happen in the middle of the night? Ugh, so freaked out.

It's always scarier at night...you said you were dizzy in the afternoon 'wasn't to bad'...or did you just cope better because it was day time? It's the cruelty of fate...when my kids were small they always got the most sick during the night. You're gonna have to fake an attitude til morning...when you start having freaky thoughts...just say to yourself 'these are not facts, I'm only freaking cuz it's night'...keep talking yourself calm until you can fall asleep...IF you can fall asleep. xx
