Swollen Lymph node.

Since I've been unwell, I've developed lymph node, on my neck as Well as neck pain, the doctor looked at it, she said it's a normal sized lymph note that's slightly swollen, she said it's up come if you've had a infection, and she said if it's gets bigger then that's when she will get concerned. I'm worried now because have it for a long time. Anybody else had one with symptoms?

My daughter woke up last Monday with a very swollen lymph node. Took her to the doc and said same thing. Made her rest , no sports, no school, just rest and lots and lots of fluids with ibuprofen for 2+ days and the swelling was completely gone in 4 days. She felt fine the entire time too, just a soar throat.

How long have you had it? Has it gotten bigger? Do you have any other symptoms?

Just keep an eye on it. I will say, having had cancer and knowing many who have... the lump rarely hurts.

Sounds as if it's just draining an infection. However, do what the doctor says and if it continues to grow go back to the doctor.

Thank you for your reply and sorry to hear you had cancer. The doctor said the lump is a normal sized and nothing to worry about it. But it just really concerns me because it's quite firm, I cant really tell if it's got any bigger either. X

Hi guys thank you for your reply's It just worries me slightly because even though two doctors who have looked at it said it's a normal sized lump and nothing to worry about. The lump to me feels quite firm and the lump it's self isn't painful but I've been getting neck pain. I also can't tell if it's got any bigger or not.
