I have pain and in my back, upper and lower, hips ribs. Please can someone help me. I can't calm down. I think pain is from tension from anxiety. I think it's muscles. I can't stand the pain anxiety is making it worse.

I am betting it is anxiety. Sometimes, I try to tense my muscles and then relax them. It helps me to focus on keeping my muscles relaxed and pay attention to when they are tensing back up. Another thing that helps is hot shower or bath. Hope this may help.

Most of the time these two things do ease the muscle tension. I think the most important thing is to keep reminding yourself that it is anxiety causing the pain. The tensing/relaxing and hot shower does usually help. There are times I just have to consciously remind myself to relax my muscles - I kind of do a check from my face down and relax whatever muscles feel tensed. Give it a tryout may help.

I'd guess it's anxiety too. You'll know that anxiety causes tension in your body, and it becomes a vicious circle when the pain grabs all of your attention and worsens your anxiety and causes further pain. It's brain numbing 😟

There are many relaxation tapes on you tube, my personal favourites are done by Jason Stephenson ~ "spoken" guided meditations ~ which aid muscle relaxation and lessen pain, and often result in refreshing sleep and waking up in a better frame of mind, with stress and anxiety considerably lessened.

You could have a lovely warm bath and then find a quiet and comfortable place to listen to the spoken guided meditations (I stress 'spoken', as some are just new age type music, which is not to everyone's taste!).

I do hope you manage to break the anxiety/ pain/ anxiety negative experience. Anything's worth a try? ❤️️ B x

Thank you so much!

The tension from anxiety can absolutely exhaust a body. Another thing that can cause such pain is a vitamin or mineral deficiency. You can ask for a blood test to check. I had super low vitamin D last year. My doctor decided to check it because I was having bone pain in my breastbone, ribs, and hips. After taking a vitamin D supplement for a couple of weeks, the pain went away and only comes back now if I slack off and don't take the supplement the way I should. Worth having checked I'd say

I hurt all over and can hardly get up out of a chair. My lower back and ribs hurt so much. And upper back

Have you gone to a doctor for a thorough check up. That might be a good thing to do as you have been mentioning this problem for some time.
