Dozing Off Weird

I had a terrible sleep went to bed at midnight last night and I was just sitting here dozing in and out of sleep but kept having this tingling feeling across my lips and I kept having weird thoughts that didn’t even make sense as I was dozing off then when I opened my eyes I couldn’t understand what it even meant like why I would even think of random things like that. Is this normal when falling asleep?

Thanks so much for your reply!

That makes sense I just get these weird thoughts hat make no

Sense but as I’m drifting off to sleep I “think” they make sense but they’re just random lol idk where it all comes from. It’s sets off the anxiety bells in my head though making me think something else is wrong with me. Wonderful isn’t it? Lol

The thoughts could have actually been a dream with out a visual effect something like when we wake up sometimes we dont remember dreaming but we did well maybe your in a dream and the thoughts that dont make sense is just the dream starting up?

Im going to send you a link that is my issue i really think yout experiencing them too tbh

Voices as you fall asleep or wake up – these are called hypnogogic and hypnopompic hallucinations, and are to do with your brain being partly in a dreaming state. The voice is likely to call your name, or say something very brief, or you may hear other brief sounds such as a telephone ringing. You may also see strange things, or misinterpret things you can see, such as seeing a coat on a hook as a person standing in the doorway. These experiences usually stop as soon as you are fully awake

This is one of the other terms the other one is infact Exploding head syndrome where you hear loud explosions or bombs go off or big loud noises that arent actually there

The first one really sounds like you haha

Thank you so much!! The funny thing was that I could see someone I know as a picture in my head and she was wearing like a backpack strapped to the front of her chest I couldn’t make sense of it then I woke up LOL just tripping I guess hahaha but thank you so much I’m gonna refer back to this thread if I ever go through this again :)
