Has anyone ever had like a zapping or electrical feeling wake them up suddenly just as your drifting off to sleep. ? It does not happen all the time but when it does it feels like its right between my eyes and then I also get a feeling of a heart beat really fast and when I take a couple deep breaths it goes away . It's not my heart racing it just feels like my heart only it's in my hole chest. When I do get this I will doze off And wake up at least 20 to 30 times a night until I get so tired I just finally go to sleep. What ever it is it's a strange scary feeling .

Electrical or zapping feelings while dozing off to sleep.
OMG!!!!
I get the same feeling, but in my face/legs/feet/hands. It happens more at night as well, but I sometimes get it in the day. I also get the strange beating in my chest, but its not my heart. Another strange thing I get, is when I stretch while laying down, my heart rate will jump up for a minute, then go back to normal. I also have a constant lighthead and tingling sensations.
Crazy stuff.

Is the feeling you get like a zap? Or Electrical? Electrical feeling stays with you a lot longer . At first I thought I was not breathing when I would wake up cause it kinda felt like lack of oxigine but I did have a few times I was a wake when I felt it it's almost in my eyes to. My ears used to ring with it and my hearing sometimes became very sensitive . It is very wierd.
Yes the same exact thing with me. I'd also feel pressure in my head or ears. And this sensative hearing is the worst. My smoke signal in my home has been beeping which I'm use to it beeping but ever since my anxiety got really bad that beeping sound sometimes catch me off guard and is so sensative it almost feels like I can feel the beep right in my ears.
Yes I do. I feel a zap or electric feeling in my brain and also like a rush like my brain is being strained. It does do this alot when I try to lie down to sleep. I'll be just dozing off and keep jolted out of my sleep by this sensation in my brain. And once that happens it takes forever to go to sleep until my brain has no choice but to put me to sleep.
Are either of you currently taking any medicine? I am not on anything at the moment, everything I've tried makes my anxiety worse.
