kev you may be both hungry as well as dehydrated. I'd first have a little something to eat, sometimes that is enough to lower the pain threshold. If not after you eat is the time to take some pain medication if you are able to. Something OTC should be sufficient. If you didn't have anxiety I'd say add a cup of coffee with that because it works well with pain meds. But not in your case (or mine) Find a comfortable chair, put a blanket over your legs, dim the lights and just start relaxing, allowing the medication to work. Watch tv or read a book. Deep breathe for a bit to bring down your anxiety.

Listening to an Imagery tape could help transfer your mind to a spot where there is no pain, no stress and every thing is calm and peaceful. Breathe kev....I just got rid of mine a little while ago w/o medication just by having something to eat. Feel better my friend.

Sorry your head hurts 🙁 I get headaches & migraines all the time. Your body might be trying to tell you to drink some water.... get yourself a nice big glasses of water. Eat a little something, light.... some people get worst headaches with certain foods (spicey). Once you have some food in your belly took some pain meds, with a little caffeine if you can handle it... some relaxing tea if you can't. Screen time is bad for headaches, so turn off the t.v., cell & computer. Try to relax is a dark, quite, cool room.... maybe call it an early night? Take a glass of ice water to have on your night stand... read a book if you want/can. An ice pack on my forehead helps me, give that a try. Just gets some rest, its often the best thing for headaches. Good night Kev 💛

kev, give your doctor a call. He may be able to order something a little stronger

or advise you as to what to do. I know you're scared but give him a call and let

us know what he says. You can always go to the ER, they would give you something for nausea as well as pain medication.

It does sound like a severe migraine.

🙁 I know, I get that scared too sometimes. Anxiety is real sneaky & evil like that. I get nauseous (sometimes vomit as well) too with my headaches & anxiety.... its kind of common.... I am sure its a bad headache made worse by the anxiety over it.... brain tumors & aneurysms are rare...If it makes you feel better you can try contacting an advice nurse or your doctor.... I truly think doing some breathing exercises, resting & water will help. If you get a little sick, it's okay.... try not to stress too much. Hugs💛

First of all...GO SEE A DOCTOR!

For what lol? Its a head ache nothing wrong our anxiety just creates these irrational thoughts of it being something more severe.. we should all know our bodies and if it was truly something bad I had already requested my EMT/PARAMEDIC buddies come evaluate me if I felt at all it was more than a headache I took tylenal as a last resort and it worked

LOL? Your anxiety told you of brain tumors and anerysm. Instead of not knowing and speed up anxiety even more my suggestion was to rule out those concerns by taking those scans a doctor would have done. Just a friendly thought. Take care.

No my anxiety didny tell me..

Its a fear of mine as a kid fear creates anxiety

I knew a kid 13 years old i was 13 too he died of a brain aneurysm as I got older someone I knew died from cancer recently someone a relative has brain cancer stage 4

I understand your point but the truth is I dont have time or the money to he paying hospital bills yes scans will help me determine if I have anything wrong up there but a headache that is very common and sometimes very painful is not a good enough reason to go get checked out..

if the tylenal did not work i would have deff gotten checked out because then it would be of concern

I appreciate your thoughts and words but sometimes money is just not available at times and we cannot fear minor pain

Nothing lasts forever in this world not even our pain..

Three common things cause headaches 1. Lack of water

2. Lack of sleep 3. Lack of nutrients or food in general

I ruled out 2 of the 3 and couldnt try and nap so if I could have slept maybe that was my original problem..

again thank you for your reply :) i do understand your point

Having read this one I can see that the fear you experienced during childhood us a factor......and that i guess you live in ?AMERICA.......I'm in Britain ........different meds and accesss to help.........hope you have a better day today, I've still got a headache and am about to take2 Paracetamol with a nice cup of tea....you need a HUG .x

If it was a brain tumour you would have a constant head ache...it wouldn't go away.....you would also have other symptoms you could not ignore...stop worrying about that one......I think it's probably STRESS. I get them a lot...twice yesterday....flashing lights the lot....Paracetamol ......or get sone ?Sumatriptan from the GP...,it works.

I know what a nightmare it us my friend.....big hug.

ironically I had a one sided headache the last 2 days. Like you I do not take medication for pain but last night took 1 (325mg) Tylenol. Big deal huh... I don't know what causes it from time to time either. Glad we are both headache free right now. Enjoy your Sunday :)
