Worry and Fear

When I was about 18 I felt as if I had multiple heart fluttering episodes which later put me in the ER with a major racing heartbeat. I was there all night and the doctors in the morning said the good news was that there was nothing wrong with my heart, but the bad news is I have anxiety. Over the last 5-6 years I have suffered with this on and off. Only recently though I have started to feel these heart flutters (one or two a day) which highly concern me. They only started recently after my most recent batch of anxiety attacks and I hardly ever had them before, leading me to feel like there must be something wrong with my heart. They happen at completely random times. I also have random episodes or dizziness and extreme tiredness and feel like i will pass out, though I have not yet. I ended up in the ER the other night awaking to a racing heartbeat and was sent home later on in the night after the ecg gave then the all clear. I have also had an echocardigram in the past which indicated a healthy functioning heart but i am really struggling the feel this, especially now with these random heart flutters.

Hey if you have had tests and they came back normal. Then it’s normal and you need to try and not worry about it. I have daily palpitations like I had one today prob from the coffee I had and that’s it. I don’t worry about them anymore and sometimes I can have weeks of not having any. You can always go back to your GP for more tests if you are still worried. Apparently most people have these but don’t notice them as not anxious or and will show up on a 24 hour monitor.
