Does anyone else have the problem of over thinking about a illness, then once they look it up on the internet and see the symptoms they get all them symptoms and then worrying about them makes it worst? Like the body aches just feeling unwell in general? Then when you don’t think about them they go? I’m really worried😩

Over thinking
Doctors for me this afternoon, can’t seem to get round to believing them😒 hope everything’s okay with you
Most definitely. I think for the majority of us that is what feeds our anxiety. Depending on who you speak with there are differing techniches for working through that. Breathing, accepting, distracting, and so on and so forth. Just find what works for you to begin to calm the thoughts. It doesn’t happen instantly but keep practicing and it will help in some way.
I was told by my GP if suffering from anxiety to never look up symptoms, I have done this too but I would agree it does make us worry more....better to distract your mind and find something u enjoy....Hope this helps
Yeah not pleasant, I'm sitting here feeling shaky and anxious...Gd to hear youre blood tests were fine.....We all worry theres something terrible wrong but anxiety plays tricks on us
That's 100% normal it happens to the best of us, our minds just go crazy , and can't stop thinking about it until we find something else that catches our attention sucks rite I know the feeling
Yes indeed. My anxiety always goes up when I am sick. Right now I have a cold, bronchitis and a throat infection. In addition to not feeling well, I get anxious about taking medications. It's all part of the anxiety package. I try to avoid looking things up on the net because it just makes me more anxious, imagining I have all sorts of other illnesses.
