Anxiety over pain thinking its appendicitis

Been having pain for a few weeks, just dull pain right sided and my anxiety has gone through the roof. Today I feel unwell and faint with a white coating on my tongue and I have drunk heaps today. I didn't get much sleep last night so not sure if that's contributing to how I feel. Anyone have this happen? I'm panicking and got the doctors Tuesday so still got over 48hours to wait.

Good idea to see your doctor, it will bring you some reassurance. Claire Weekes wrote thst the stomach is the most sympathetic organ to anxiety which is very good at mirroring irritable bowel syndrome.

I had a lower right quadrant ache 4 years ago, had all the tests in the book including s CT scan. Nothing. The gastroenteroligist could only suggest it was muscular skeletal whatever that means. Then it went away 2 years ago but I've noticed it again recently but I'm sure it's anxiety so don't attach too much importance to it.

Thank you for that I'm thinking it's anxiety but getting it checked to be sure. I appreciate your response as its pretty much the same as what I have.

I suffered with pain for years. I was told they took my appendix out when I had my gallbladder out so my doctors never checked that. I went to a new doctor and they said they were rushing me to surgery for my appendix. I kept arguing but they showed it to me. I do not think you should take chances. Are you nauseous or do you have a fever?

No no nausea or fever

That’s a plus! Still good to let your doctor know if it persists. Better to be Safe than sorry always if in doubt.
