Was walking happily down the road last Friday. Then I suddenly lost balance (didn't fall) and grabbed a fence. Went back home tree-to tree and was finally helped across the road by a passer by. Still couldn't walk so I called 111. They sent a "crisis team" and they shipped me to hospital where I still am (I still can't walk and have to be wheeled about by a nurse and am on a vicious opiate painkiller). If this is nerve damage I could be stuck with this for the rest of my life. Please can I panic?

kjt239, You could panic but knowing it doesn't help, it might be better to take a "wait and see" approach. Our thoughts and wishes are with you. x
