Anxiety strikes again?: These past 2weeks... - Anxiety Support
Anxiety strikes again?
Get A Good Book or sometimes I get some colored pencil s and color Help keep your mind on other things Also reading will make you tired I hope this helps
Try and find someone to talk to and share how you are feeling. Most people are more understanding than you think they will be. Keep busy and distract yourself - these feelings do pass and you will feel better x
Don't be scared it won't harm you in any way It's horrible and uncomfortable but nothing more Accept it is anxiety and read as much as you can about it All of on this forum suffer exactly the same symptoms some severe some more manageable but it's all the same
If you read about anxiety all the symptoms you have are listed Its adrenaline rushing through your body and because you are scared of it you are keeping it alive and fuelling the attacks
Once you accept and stop being afraid then you will get well
Talk to people its so common you will be surprised how many will say they understand
Learn ways to relax deep breathing meditation etc
If you lie down and breathe deeply for half and hour just see how much better you feel This will reassure that it is anxiety you can do something about it and you don't need to live with it much longer
Books by Dr Claire Weekes and Barry McDonagh are fantastic
Good luck remember we all understand on here
Hi sometimes it's best to see ur doctor , Iv been through this an my doctor was great it's horrible living with anxiety I feel for you best of luck babe xxx
I agree about seeing the doctor if it's severe is there anything that triggers it? Even lack of certain supplements can be an underlying cause such as magnesium. A good web site I often look to for answers is Earth Clinic. It has remedies for all sorts of health problems. All tried and tested from real people. It's a really interesting site.
I suffer it too on occasions and find distracting myself good. I think these illnesses are a big cause, and the symptoms can be scary.
I hope you get some relief soon. If you can afford it maybe some acupuncture and/ or massage would help. Also talking to a good friend. All the best
I decided to try taking magnessium and it does seem to be helping. I find that doctors just keep giving you more tablets. I think its a combination of things which help control anxiety. Deep breathing, keeping busy, getting out and about, talking to people, tablets off doctors ( lm on mild dose and trying desperately not to take next ones up), learning deep relaxation, listing to happy music, and reading up on the condition and knowing there are other people who feel as you do. Its not easy and it helps if you are self motivated. Its all about trying a few of the above each day, some things work better than others on different days. Just keep at it and try to look at things positively.
Listen to Claire Weekes audio book. "Hope and Help for your Nerves" she will help you through it step by step. Working for me. Good luck
Hi there, I too suffer from your symptoms, and eventually I got the courage to ask my doctor for a review of my meds( citolopram 20mg)
I'd been on that for about a decade, and whist it treated my depression ok, but when anxiety issues became more debilitating, I desperately needed help.
The doctor changed me to Fluoxetine, and so far I'm going ok, but really early days yet.
Good luck 🍀 with everything,
