ABOUT TO HAVE A PANIC ATTACK!

I know this sounds crazy but I have really bad health anxiety.

I woke up this morning with a pink eye, went o my doctor and she prescribed Ciprofloxacin eye drops, I've never used them before so I got home and i put one drop in my eye.

I went to read on line about the medicine and it says some people had serious side effects including DEATH???? from eyedrops???? I am now feeling weird of course like my heart is pounding and I hyperventilate just waiting to have an allergic reaction...

How can you die from Eyedrops???

Don't worry. When they say 'some people' they mean like, 1 in 10,000. You are not going to be that person. The worst that might happen to you is an eye infection. And that won't even happen. Just try and breathe and relax. You'll be ok. If you were to have a reaction, it would've happened by now.

I know.. I just feel like every time i read about side effects i get them... Also they say the medicine is really dangerous and now i have anxiety about using it again.. Its been maybe a couple hours do you think i would have had anything serious like anaphylaxis by now?? Sorry i am the worst when it comes to health.

After two hours, you definitely would already have had a reaction. Your doctor wouldn't have prescribed it if they thought it would hurt you. Every medication comes with side effects, even advil. Serious side effects only happen if you use it wrong. Just use it like how your doctor said and you should be ok.
