Hi, today I'm having shortness of breath with a sore throat and chest pain when I breath in and im light headed. Are these signs of a heart attack? Has anyone ever gone through a heart attack before? I'm sorry to ask this question.
Thanks

Hey! How sling has it been going on for? I think you'd definitely know about it if you were having a heart attack. I get this DAILY with anxiety. Expecially when I think about it
Hi maybe 2 hours. I have a history of shortness of breath and anxiety but to me it feels different. I took my blood pressure and it seems okay.
So you're blood pressure is ok and you've had if before... 'but this time it's different' is something I say a hell of a lot. You're fine. Find something to do. Sleep. Walk around. Look at memes. try not to think of a skateboarding penguin for the next minuite.
Hello. I'm not affected the way you are by anxiety, but I do hope if you have to ASK if you're having a heart attack, it means you're not....Please if you are really are thinking you're having a heart attack, don't ask us, please get to a hospital. We aren't doctors and don't want you to think we know if you're having a real heart attack. Ok?
Yes true indeed. Thanks. I just heard that some people have mild ones and don't even know it until they see a Dr. I'm trying my hardest not to go to the ER because I was there a few weeks ago and I'm afraid if I keep going they won't take me seriously. I know it sounds silly but it's the truth. Thanks
If you do go to ER and get clear results then you can relax, if you can get through the day being strong then it will subside gradually. Er should take every patient serious because of the possibilities of your symptoms being something, wether they think it's not, it's their job to rule it out. Otherwise it is classed as neglect. Hope you can relax a bit today. Like PTSD said diagnoses here would be wrong of us if it is as serious as that.
Take care ok
Hi just curious. How does anxiety affect you?
Oh, Tanae,
I have PTSD and we have just started dinner, and I'm a bit tired right now from taking care of my service dog who is in the last stages of congestive heart failure. That means, medications and other care because we know each day may be his last. I've accepted that, but keeping him comfortable is taxing. Perhaps I can share my anxiety issues on another day....but don't want that to end up with you thinking you have them too. lol
Hope you understand why I'm shutting my computer down for the night. But you can go on Google or other search site and just type in PTSD and that should give you some idea what PTSD is. You take care.
I'm sorry to hear about your Service Dog. Prayers for You. I have PTSD also and Depression which I think is slowly diminishing. I totally understand and wish You well. Thank You!
Hi Thanks. Yes I can be a bit paranoid lol. I'll be 33 in August. It seems so surreal, like where did the time go?
You are not having a heart attack. I have a cold with a nasty cough and the same symptoms.
I empathize with your worry of not wanting to go to ER so often, you do not sound silly for saying that. It got so embarrassing for me with how often i called 911- that one evening i got home, happened to see a firetruck in the parking lot of my apt complex and as i walked by it to go to my apartment- a fireman stopped me and (with a smile) yelled out to me "Hey i thought we were coming here for you! ". (it was actually for a neighbor ) lol i can laugh now but i know how absolutely terrifying a panic attack can be and there were times i honestly didn't know it was one and even though in the moment i tried to tell myself, "this has happened before- don't call 911 again"--but even so EACH TIME is SO SCARY and new symptoms can even come like one time i felt bugs crawling all over my skin but i kept looking and looking at my legs/body- nothing was there plus i was starting to convulse like a seizure, arms stiffening, jerking, etc. so i thought i was having a stroke. i called 911 in a hysterical state but sure enough- medics came- and , already knowing me from past calls and after checking me out- they told me take to my medicine, it was a panic attack again. but still, one day it could be some other thing than anxiety thats why i'm so scared of living alone anymore and have been looking hard for an assisted living situation. i pray it doesn't get this bad for you. the people here have helped you very nicely and i got a smile from the penguin reply-- but one here wisely said, we are not doctors and can't for sure know if you're having a heart attack or not. Overall, cops/firemen /medics and esp doctors hopefully, have enough training about mental illness and the physical reality of how bad a panic attack feels, and should have enough compassion to always check you out thoroughly, no matter how often you go to a doctor/hospital or whatever. unfortunately anxiety has all sorts of bizarre symptoms, and it does comfort me to come on here to see that others experience them too. hopefully most of the time these crazy physical experiences are just anxiety, and over 99% of the time that probably is so...oh no i just realized that by describing that episode i'm almost starting to get that jerky seizure feeling again- i better not go into detail like that again. prayers and blessings to you
Maybe you have a cold coming, or hayfever. That's what I get in the summer, hope you feel better soon x
I made it through the day and I'm grateful. I have been having some palpitations as of last night but I think I have a clue why so I am still being patient and hopefully as the days pass by, I won't even remember what I'm feeling lol.
