Ever so weird
First of all you need to breath slowly. Then calm yourself. How do you usually calm yourself? Meditation or listening to music? Xx
Hello
Some people find that their body starts hyperventilating even when they don't feel anxious
This can be because their body has somehow trained itself to breathe inefficiently (usually as a result of stress & anxiety you have suffered in the pass ) and it starts to hyperventilate simply because it's breathing wrong.
It does shake you up when it happens but passes
Take Care x
Now then.., Mr worry, you are fine, you probably just had an air bubble, I do this lots but then you panicked and gasped, you've no need to bob yourself , it's quite normal we all have these odd unexplained episodes!
Sounds like what I get a lot of which is Anxiety...thats one of tge many symptoms is suffocation feeling like a feeling you have to gasp for air like its your last breath...just stay calm when it happens and do deep breathing..in through your nose and out through your mouth...I have learned from some very scarey experiences myself...if you panic it gets worse and causes your heary to beat fast and then you hyperventilate ...so just stay calm. It will pass.
Hi mrworry, you know what I have been catching myself doing? Holding my breathe...
I have done it without thinking when really nervous/anxious. You can only do it so long before your autonomic nervous system kicks in and makes you gasp in order to get your breathing back in sync. Just a thought of what may be going on.
