Getting really bad pain in centre of my chest and round my back I’m getting so panicky feel like I can’t breath. Do u think this is a heart attack I’m so scared. Please need reassurance Iv had these pains before but I know it’s probably not a heart attack but just scared because my body going into fight or flight mode I don’t wanna die😢

Well I’m still here so don’t think it’s heart attack but am getting pains in my chest which makes me worry then I panic it’s like a vicious circle! Iv just taken a diazepam.x

yes I do quite often, in the centre and on the sides sometimes even in my back. still here so definitely not my heart
It makes you worry don’t it! Then panic attack comes on and it’s just the worst thing ever!!! 😢😢😢😢. Everyday I think I’m going to have a heart attack
yes definitely.. had it the night before at 4am weird feeling in my body and heart was up a bit, grabbed my phone and checked symptoms. couldn't get back into a good sleep after that
Yeh my heart constantly races and skips n flutters does your? I won’t google because I know it will make me 1000x worse
yeah it skips often. got a 24hr monitor done a couple years ago thankfully everything was totally normal
Yh I had a 48hour one on recently but didn’t get flutters while I had it on! I ain’t got results yet! Everyday feel like I’m dying 😭
Press down on your chest in the centre... it will hurt and that means it’s not your heart. X
I agree you’re most likely Not having a heart attack or you wouldn’t be able to write this letter. Anxiety can create All kinds of feelings. I didn’t read anything about counseling? I’ve been suffering from anxiety and depression off and on for about 36 years, what I’ve learned is you can’t fight what you’re feeling because that will make it Worse? Try and distract yourself? 🙏😷
I get that too. Actually I’ve been having the sane thing for about a month. Had chest X-rays, heart monitoring in the ER. Nothing shows up. I’m just as confused as you are. I know about the vicious cycle of pain then worry. It’s awful. Just curious, have you been to a gastroenterologist? Had an endoscopy? I’m sure not a doctor but maybe it’s reflux? Just something I’ve been told. I hope you’re feeling a bit better.
If it was your heart you would of know by now .I get the same symptoms since 2 years now, sinus tachycardia, cheat pains,back pain,jaws pain,left arm you name it,I know it's horrible , life,hope you get well soon 🙂
I know got really bad chest pain like in the middle and can feel all in my ribs it’s the worst. Surely if it was my heart I would of dropped dead by now. When I press down it really hurts. But Iv taken paracetamol n Ibuprofen and it’s not helping 😢
If it's Costochondritis Kaaayla, what will help (at least for myself) is heat.
Not a deep heat gel on your chest, that may be too intense a feeling for you.
I like to use a hot bath towel right out of the dryer and wrap it around my
neck and shoulders. Find a quiet spot to relax for a few minutes while you
read or watch tv. The heated towel feels like a tight hug around your shoulders
as it relaxes the upper back and chest muscles, the pain should subside some.
Some pain (such as Fibro/Costo) aren't really helped by pain medication but
more from holistic methods. xx
Wonder if anyone knows could you try like deep heat or ibuprofens gel on chest area??
My chest pain gets worse when I am alone. I have too much to think about. I try to keep my mind occupied by gardening and other activities that I make up to keep my mind off my problems. Very hard to do when there isn't things that I can do. I believe you say you panic when you go outdoors. Not much you can do indoors but read, or maybe do a art project ( it doesn't have to be drawings), puzzles are another thing I do to occupy my mind. Wish you the best.
