Johnnie that's good news about you realizing that there is no food stuck in your throat. We all get so anxious when we feel something that it is sometimes hard to rid ourselves of that feeling. You talked it out in the rational part of your mind that you would not be able to swallow food had something been stuck. That rational analogy cleared your negatives thoughts.

Now, the Anxiety Bully, doesn't like the fact that you won and so it brings on another concern for you to worry about. This is how anxiety plays it's mind game. Think it over in your mind as to the fact that this feeling is not new. It's happened before and yet you overcame it. Try accepting that this too will pass and it is your anxiety giving you these weird sensations in your head, feeling dizzy and chest discomfort. You will win every time if you believe it is not harmful. Stay Strong.

Hey, I didn't know you worked out with weights and exercise. It is true that your heart will beat faster because you are working out. It wouldn't be normal if it didn't. I understand and have felt that weird feeling in the heart as well as a cough when exerting yourself. I once worked out with weights 3x a week and remember that feeling very well. It was then I switched to water aerobics. The buoyancy of the water helped support my arms. When under extreme anxiety you have to remember that the muscles are intensely tight so exerting more pressure by lifting weights, makes you feel like that. Also Johnnie, when working out whether it be with weights or exercise, it is very important not to hold your breath. Make sure you warm up before starting to work out as well as breathing deeply throughout the exercise. Cooling down is just as important in bringing your heart rate back to normal. Last but not least. hydrating after a good workout getting rid of the lactic acid in your muscles.

Yes, very, very normal for your heart to beat faster when you're doing any type of exercise. It's actually a sign of a good, healthy heart. Doctors recommend cardio exercises for that very reason. Your heart is a muscle and making it beat faster from exercise helps build up you heart muscle too.

You can always ask your cardiologist for an exercise stress test to relieve your mind.
