Buspar

Well the doctor put me on buspar. Not good for me....chest pains, heart palpitations and the shakes. Not for me. I'll just take my prozac and Xanax.

Buspar was not for me either, I felt like a zombie. I said no more and the doc said give it time, I could not stand the feeling. I would rather be anxious, at least I know I am alive!

It's been 2 days since I took the last dose and I still feel horrible....praying it gets better soon.

It's unfortunate that Buspar does not work for you. It has been a Godsend for me. I tried SSRI's and felt like a zombie just trudging through life. Don't even get me started on Benzo's. I am happy you found something that works for you as many people never find relief!

Did your doc tell you that you can't drink alcohol while on buspar?

No, but i recently returned from a cruise and had the unlimited drink package and had no issues😁

Good to know! I fly out Saturday to Mexico and we will be at an all-inclusive resort with plenty of drinks and I'm nervous about having them while on the meds. I'm going to ask my doc today at my appointment to make sure. I'm on a pretty low dose (7.5mg twice a day) so I think I'll be OK but just want to be sure.

That's the dose I'm on. I'd drink a couple while you're still jome to see how it will affect you. That way if it doesn't agree with you at least you'll be in your own house and have a good hospital nearby if needed🙂
