Scared of my own mind : I get scary thoughts... - Anxiety Support
Scared of my own mind
Just remember is just thoughts and they will change. Try to relax and think about at time when u was very happy.
And you're not going crazy is just your mind playing tricks with u.
My thoughts are worse than yours I feel like am on edge now, as much as I try I can't get being overwhelmed.
It is only anxiety. It is a very common symptom and one I suffer from myself. It does get better they can go away for a while and come back and go again. Best thing to do is not dwell on them try your best to keep moving on from them distract yourself. They are thoughts and cannot harm you.
It's a symptom that comes about when you've been suffering with anxiety for a prolonged time. It's helpful to read the book DARE on Amazon. There's a full chapter on this subject which will put your mind at ease greatly.
Are you taking any meds at all?
Best wishes xx
Not taking any mess
Please take meds! The meds turn your life around. You just can't imagine how much they help. When you are suffering like this you need medicine to get better just the same way you would need meds if you had any other health problem. Meds are there plainly and simply to help you get better not to make you worse. I take Zoloft and thank god for giving me the courage to take them x
I just don't want to have to take meds my whole life
What are they about....
I had stupid thoughts about life and existence and wondering if things were real and I started taking Zoloft and that went away. The derealization is still there unfortunately but the weird life thoughts are gone.
i'm sorry to see this post but i also have horrible thoughts but i say to my head thank you for sharing now you can leave. it works just tell your horrible anxious thoughts that it's nice they have shared now get the heck out of here. i think our thoughts are an inner bully and as hard as it is we need to try very very hard to stand up to them
It's called OCD. I have it also. The thoughts snow ball and get worse if you can't control them. I'm on medicine and it saved my life.
I know from personal experience that taking certain medications can really change my mood and make me feel hostile or a weepy mess. If you are on any medications, you may want to talk to your doctor about altering them. If you aren't on medication, I would recommend still seeing a doctor. If you're like me and are trying to avoid medications, seeing a therapist that deals with diet change, vitamin and mineral supplements can be really helpful.
You'll be alright and we're here to help you along the way. As I've told one friend, I can't walk this path for you but I can be there to help kick stones out of the way.
