Hi I've been constipated for about 6 month s now and I think it could be due to bacterial imbalance In my gut.

Would a strong probiotic and a healthy diet be able to fix this?

Hello

If you know you are not eating the correct diet then changing it could very well help , plenty of high fibre foods, veg , fruit , fresh juices and plenty of water is really good for you to , a probiotic drink won't harm either but if after about 4 weeks you see no improvement then have a chat with your Doctor as they may prescribe you something if change of diet alone does not work :-)

Good Luck :-)

Take Care x

Ok it's just because I'm feeling really rough lately. I have tonsillitis at the moment and my throats is hurting so very much... 🤕 I am going to eat healthily because I just hate feeling like this and feeling ill. My parents have always said I need to eat healthier and I've never really thought of it, but now I think I need to!

O dear tonsillitis is not nice at all you must be feeling rough but it will get better :-)

I know junk food tastes nice and having it now and again does not harm us but eating healthy is the way to go & once you get used to it believe me junk food does not taste all that good anymore , it is so much better if you start good eating habits when you are young it gives you a big helping hand on been fit when you get older , give it a go , tell yourself you will do Healthy Eating for 6 months and see if you see a difference I bet you do and it could help your anxiety because to much sugar etc can make you feel more anxious

There is a Community on here for Healthy Eating , you can be a member of more than one Community on HU , I will put you the link that will take you straight to it so you can have a look and see if you can get some good advise and ideas how to go about changing your eating habits :-)

Hope you feel better soon :-) x

Thank you so much, hopefully I will start to feel better soon😤The worst part is not being able to sleep

I know I only ever had it once some years ago and it was dreadful , have some ice cold water next to your bed and keep sipping on that as well as having a few pillows , hope you are on antibiotics and it will slowly get better :-) x

I feel terrible at the moment. think phlegm is draining into my throat when I'm asleep as I woke up a short time ago and panicked because I couldn't breathe

Have you heard of the Bircher breakfast recipe. It worked wonders for me. Soak equal volumes of jumbo porridge flakes with apple juice and some plain (maybe organic) yoghurt - say 1 tablespoon. Put in fridge overnight and eat in the morning. No cooking. Some people grate an apple onto it just before serving.

Avoid sugar. It kills the good bacteria in the gut.

Good luck.

Hi iceage, I may give it a try. I need to cut down on sugar and just take a good strong probiotic for a few weeks and see if this helps

Hi, not sure where you're located but you can try milk of magnesia. They usually sell it at a walgreens or cvs.

Hi tanae, I have some of this at my house. I tried it before when the constipation first began, and it only really gave me temporary relief then back to constipation. I think that it's to do with my gut Bacteria and not having enough good bacteria as apparently bacteria are what forms stools
