It helps to eat a lot of salt and be sure you drink plenty of water.

I've tried that along with beta blockers.. it' has a minuscule effect on me...

I understand. Water and salt don't fix the cause. Have you been evaluated for Lyme disease?

I thought about getting checked for this disease but I've heard that there is no reliable test.. but the symptoms are pretty similar so maybe I should do it. Have you had it?

Yes, I was originally diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome. I had a tilt table test and passed out with no blood pressure. I finally got tested for Lyme disease at Igenex Lab. Antibiotic treatment has helped me a lot but not completely well. The difficult thing is to find a knowledgeable doctor. If you don't mind - where do you live?

Wow that sounds intense.. glad to hear you're feeling better. I live in Denmark, and we have big problems with the tests they use here and in other European countries. But my symptoms are starting to really escalate so I'm kinda desperate...

Nordfors is in Denmark. He diagnoses and treats Lyme disease, and probably knows about causes of POTS.

I just Googled him and his rep is pretty bad to say the least. How did you know of him and why would you recomend him?

A woman who heads a Lyme support group recommended him. It is almost impossible to find a doctor who knows anything about Lyme disease. IF you can see him one time without spending a lot of money I think it would be worth a try.

Looks like he uses alternative treatments - maybe not so good. Sorry I could not be of more help.

I haven't been properly diagnosed yet, I'm getting the table tilt test soon. But I told my doctor to measure my blood pressure when lying down vs standing up, and she saw the insane difference with about 60 bpm. But I don't know how much there can be done against this syndrome...

how bad is yours?
