Has here anyone tried TRE (Trauma Releasing Exercises)?

Anyone here tried TRE (Trauma releasing exercises) for anxiety and stress? I just tried my first session and not sure what to make of it. Tremored like heck that is for sure, not sure if that is a good or a bad thing. I know people who swear by it just wondering if anyone has good experience with it. I was sent a free online course by a friend who uses it regularly although i'm not sure if they experience anxiety like many of us here.

Yes, I have used it and found it quite helpful. I did it at home by myself and found it to be most effective when doing it to mentally focus on the memories of the traumas I had experienced and allow myself to vent any emotions that came up and shake until I was exhausted. I think it helped a lot in being able to physically as well as emotionally release all to charged repressed emotions. I did it on and off for some time whenever I was triggered.

I was amazed how well it works (the tremoring anyway). Frankly I thought it sounded a bit like hokum when I first saw it. Glad to hear it worked for you. I think I'm going to keep going with it. I am using this free course trecourse.com/courses/

Thanks, I took a look at the course and it looks good. The thing I found that helped with the emotional release was mentally focusing on what issue past or present that was triggering me as I was doing the release work. I would try to stay with the memories as long as possible to release as much as I could and I was usually exhausted afterward.

That is really good advice. I am only up to part 2. I though i'd share it here as it is free. Take care.
