It definitely does. Exercise increases hormones and. He I also to make you feel good. And helps release the not so good. But for it to be effective for anxiety and depression in my opinion daily exercise is required at least until you are feeling better then you can cut down. I find exercise helps so much with anxiety and the foggy brain and dp/dr it's just s matter of motivation which I don't have consistently

Hi Jazzylove, exercise is very beneficial for both anxiety and depression. It naturally brings up your endorphin levels. However it is always best before starting any exercise program, to get an okay from your doctor. He will let you know what target heart rate is safe for you depending on your age and health history. Feel better.

Exercise is a great way to lift mood aswell as keeping healthy, infact studies have proven that exercise can have the same benefits as medication in helping with anxiety n depression (pretty amazing I think) I'd advise you start off slowly and gradually build yourself up, don't rush in full throttle if your not used to regular exercise, it's good advise to check with your gp too, they can usually guide you as to whats suitable for you depending on age, meds, ailments etc, I started cycling several months ago, just steady, nothing too vigorous to begin with, it's proven to be very beneficial for me (not much fun this time of year though) :-)

Go for it Jazzylove! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Exercise is a great stress buster and provides clarity. Couple that with allowing yourself to feel and think the rubbish that comes with anxiety (and being ok about it) will also help you in the long term.

Sorry I missed your comment until now. Definitely heading in the right direction and also receiving daily sessions in a hyperbaric chamber to help the healing process. I may have carpel tunnel syndrome as I have limited feeling in my thumb and forefinger which feels tingly at the best of times and burns when it's bad but bearable. Hoping it will disappear as the swelling continues to reduce otherwise they may have to do something to relieve the pressure on the nerves being suppressed. Still early days though and rather enjoying being waited on by the family! Every cloud...
