i have this feeling atleast once a week when i get really stressed out or if something has happened. For me my HA started right after my grandma died and i felt like i had a ball in my throat and my throat was "closing off" but ive noticed that when i dont think about it i dont even notice it anymore. so just try to get your mind off stressful topics and try and relax. try taking a hot bath as well.

Yes, I have this. I can't believe it was the first post that came up! In a nutshell, I was in a stressful job for 3 years and dealt with a ton of crippling disappointments and got (in my honest opinion) let down by folk. During one of these incidents I had stomach issues, like chronic nausea for months after a bout of day long Norovirus. Fast forward to recently, and I got a new job, allegedly things are great! But I had an ongoing health scare since May (turned out to be nothing) and took a penicillin based antibiotic for 9 days. Since then I have chronic throat closing and an absolute abundance of stomach issues. No pain and (too much info) bowels are fine. But stomach is either burning, I feel sick, I have a chronic cough (I'm 30, non smoker, usually eat healthy), had oral thrush for 3 weeks that made my tongue swell and I gagged constantly. And with all that plus getting over the other (all clear) health scare, the sort anxiety I've ever experienced.

I'll try and tell you what's helping me: probiotics pills, a bland diet, small meals, no caffeine, no alcohol. The latter 2 set me back last week. I'm getting cognitive behaviour therapy for long overdue tackling of health anxiety. Doctor, nurse and therapist say this is exacerbated by stress. All blood tests clear for thyroid, diabetes, full blood count and inflammation. I've been to the doc several times and he says that if it gets worse I'll go on a diet plan, should cut out dairy and stop worrying (easier said than done). Keep me updated!

How are you feeling now? I had the same symptoms and also started probiotics and omega 3. Thought I had my anxiety at bay for about a month and a half and then out of nowhere I was hit with it again. Did you get relief or help? if so, what was the outcome?
