sincerelynina, there is nothing that the hospital can do for something that is chronic. They treat the acute problem that you have at the time, usually with a shot of Ativan. It's enough to calm you down and send you back home with instructions to see your doctor or therapist.
I don't have a doctor. .
I have learnt for myself this website has done me more good then any dumbass doctors !
If you have some type of insurance, find a listing of one near you and let them know what you have been going through and they will take it from there. In the mean time search the Internet for relaxation methods and music for relaxation . There's a lot you can do . Even a walk , bike ride, even stretching slowly will help.
Hi Sincerelynina sounds that your very unlucky. Every one reacts differently to their monthly cycle. Some people sail through and other suffer chronic symptoms. I wasn't as severe as you but did take migraine and nausea, sometimes being sick. I would sometimes faint the first day As the first blood started to flow. Also I had burning across my shoulders when the skin felt normal to touch even cold at times and was very irregular This was due to hormone imbalance
So you need something to balance you and finding that is the difficulty.
They can use the pill, beta blockers, a implant or a coil in my experience the pill helped but I was high risk so only allowed for 3 years.
I suffered till I fell pregnant ( unfortunately this ended in miscarriage) but it regulated my period and the side effects were less intense. I usually had to stay in bed first day but managed after that. I think my hormones became more balanced after pregnancy but I'm not suggesting you get pregnant just to solve problem but help and treatments are so much more advanced now so go back to gp and tell them you can no longer cope and you NEED more help than your getting. They should check your hormone levels to see what is wrong although this can be difficult as everyone is different. They should also check you ( ers ) which shows level of inflammation in body, mine was 40 when normal was 4 which explained heat in shoulders and was treated with a steroid short term which really helped apart from the weight gain but felt great.
Hope you get the help you need xx
Are you stressing because of symptoms or having symptoms from stress. If the hospital released you, you are most likely ok. But yes stressed. Go to your regular doc and do a complete physical , bloodwork and all and talk about your anxiety and ways of being calmer . It won't be overnight , but it may start to put your mind at ease
