Hi, so for a few weeks now ive been stressing about a number of health things (i have health anxiety) had blood tests, and came back fine.

Problem is I’m still thinking i have prostate cancer! All because im going to the toilet 8-10 timea a day. I wake in the night, not with the feeing of needing to wee but after 1min awake, theres the feeing!

Im a 38yr male and its taking over my life!! My wife is getting completely fedup as shes keeps pointing out, all my tests came back fine! My 3 kids are starting to ask me whats wrong as well.

I feel so alone and down, its Christmas and im worried I’m gonna waste it worrying

Anxiety in itself will make you want to go for a wee all the time. I'm not sure they're any tell tale signs of prostate cancer, I'm male in UK and 51 so I should be worrying but I can't be arsed too, lol.

Maybe you're depressed and are thinking negatively about yr health, maybe try some anti depressants ?.

Tried anti depressants before and whilst they work, there is always one side effect that i dont like!

I just want to be a normal thinking 38yr old enjoying life! Not worrying every 10min

Well be normal and stop worrying, just do it, if you can not do that then take the anti depressants and deal with the side effect.

Hey, I have anxiety, depression and fibro, I find my anxiety/depression causes me to worry about everything and anything on a daily basis.

I would speak to your GP about it if you haven't already, maybe they can refer you for talking therapy?

My Son also seems to have health anxiety, when he first got it he was pretty bad and literally worrying about everything and because I have anxiety myself it would trigger mine and make me agitated (not his fault), I personally told him if he was really worried about something then he ought to see a medical professional, he did and then this would calm his anxiety down. Anxiety is a pain in the bum, it can make us think all sorts of things that aren't real, we can't help it, please try not to beat yourself up, it's not your fault.

Got a dr appointment on thurs coming, gonna go back on tablets i think but a low dose.

In my head i know im hypersensitive to it now and slightest feeling of needing to wee (sorry) i zone in on it and think about it until im desperate!

Its trying to stop that hypersensitivity thata proving difficult

Please stay on meds even with side effects. It’s takes a while but your body and mind will calm down. Then go to therapy!!! You can do this but get started now!

Yeah, it's best to speak to the GP about it to see what they suggest.

I have my own experiences with medication, I have tried a lot of different ones but it was suggested that I stopped taking them because they didn't help, so I'm not a good advocate for medication lol.

Everyone has their own experiences with meds, counselling, therapy etc. what might work for one person might not for another and vice versa.

If you do go back on meds, remember it can take I think it's 6 weeks for it to get into your system, so try and deal with the side effects, I know that may be a little bit difficult with you having health anxiety.

Try and have a nice Christmas.

I will do, i was on my last ones for 6months, i just wish for a few days i could think normally and relax my stomach area. That would prob relieve the frequent Trips and make my bladder less stressed

Anxiety doesn't exactly help us when it comes to going to the toilet a lot lol, I also go to the toilet a lot and this gets worse if my anxiety is way up there.

Well if you were still getting side effects and you were on them for that amount of time, it might be worth letting your GP know so they can try you on a different medication.

I know that feeling, I'm always wishing my anxiety/depression would go away.
