So I have had started to feel dizzy back in August and it is still bothering me. I went to the doc before the dizziness happened and was diagnosed with ibs.
I had blood drawn and a pee test. Both were fine except vitamin d was low. After getting diagnosed with ibs, I didn't eat breakfast, lunch for three weeks. Around the second week of August I felt extremely ill at work.
I went to the ER were they took blood and an ekg. EKG was fine and blood was fine. I did ask what the blood sugar was and he said 102 which he said no worries two points are a negligible difference. They told me it was anxiety related. Stating he doesn't know what could be wrong with me. He also told me to eat . Meaning EAT all breakfast, lunch and dinner.
So after the ER that is what I did. Ate extremely healthy and started to do daily walks. As a result I lost 12 pounds.
Unfortunately I still felt bad (dizzy, faint, weak, nauseated) so I scheduled an appointment with a doctor. After I told her what was going on she said it sounds like anxiety because the doc told me to calm down while I was speaking to her about my symptoms. She said if all the tests are fine no prob.
She did have me do another blood test, a 24 hour EKG and a heart ultrasound. All of which came back fine . I am writing this to see if anyone can add their two cents as to why I am feeling dizzy and faint all the time. Thanks

Hi there you have had a lot of tests so it's most likely stress related the only other medical thing I can think of is vertigo or an ear issue.
Is it possible that the ibs is causing you stress and anxiety?
Are there other stressors in your life even if they were a while ago and have now past sometimes it sets in later?
Another thing it may be is erratic breathing your doctor was saying that you were talking really fast which makes me think you are probably breathing very fast or erratically this will definitely make you dizzy and lightheaded, most of the time we don't even notice our breathing so you may think you are breathing normally but you are not. Try breathing exercises 3 times a day or whenever you start getting the sensations and see if it makes a difference.
Thank you both Aazz and Agora I appreciate u folks taking the time to respond. It means a lot. Guess I should state that I do suffer from health aniexty. I will give my history.
Age 12-had bad asthma/pneumonia because of this every time I had shortness of breath or coughing fit I thought I was going to have pneumonia.
Age 14- had gerd/acid reflux- gerd feels like u have lump in throat. Thought that was throat cancer. Acid reflux caused heartburn I thought it was a heart attack.
Age 18- had a choking phobia. Before I swallowed my food I honestly thought I was going to choke on whatever I was eating.
Age 19- puking phobia- felt sick 24 hours of the day. I have social anxiety and I was afraid to leave my house and cause a scene. Didn't leave my house for a whole year.
I think what caused my anxiety was I had to cut off my professional doc/patient relationship with my psychologist because of financial reasons. In addition the job I work is only temp meaning no benefits and they can fire u on a drop of a dime.
Corn234, well I can see where the health anxiety comes from and now with recently being diagnosed with IBS, it's opened up Pandora's box again. It does seem like you need a therapist but I understand it is not feasible at this time. I use to work a temp job and know there are no benefits. Sooo, what to do? Depending where you live, maybe someone on the forum can suggest a way you can get the help you need. I'm sure someone will respond to this. Watch for messages dear. .. x
Have you taken any antibiotics prior to the onset of your dizziness? With me, that was the culprit, I took a short course of fluoroquinolones for a suspected UTI, and it caused all kinds of things. Let me know if you did.
Good, I'm glad you did not. Be sure to avoid that class of antibiotics if ever you need to take one. If you look up Cipro toxicity, you'll see why (that is one in that class of antibiotics). The FDA has given FQs new warnings, but doctors are often oblivious to the dangers of meds. Lexapro can cause tremors, that I had once, so you might want to check on your dosage. I wish you well, love.
