Hi flikk123, mirtazapine also known as Remeron is an antidepressant which will take several weeks to hit efficacy level, but does work for some. It's always best to keep an open mind to a new drug prescribed by your doctor. Each one of us is different in how we accept a drug. It's okay to ask others, just so you keep an open mind. I wish you well.

Thanks for the reply I was only given it yesterday. Guess I was hoping for a miracle cure. I'll just have to persevere for the time being 😕 thanks for your advice

I used to be on Mirtizapin it did help but not on its own, you have to try other techniques alongside medication. It is not like taking a painkiller and the anxiety dissapears.

Have a read of my earlier posts, you will find lots of people post just ailments rather than post what worked well for them to help others.
