I completely understand. I've gone through this tonight myself, and Agora1 talked me through it.

Hi while you should get it checked out there may be a few things you can do to help yourself and help to manage them, do you drink lots of sugary type drinks including fruit juices especially just before bed, if so cut back on them, might be worth cutting back on caffeine especially if you drink lots that includes tea caffeine free are pretty good these days, do the attacks tend to happen more when you have had a lot to drink if so be aware you are likely to get one after drink, i tend to get them more if i feel tired again it might help to be aware you are likely to have one if you feel tired. Do you find your breathing more erratic while you are having one, now this is only my personal view but i have found that breathing is the key to stopping them, next time to you go to bed try and listen to your breathing how it starts to slow down as to start to relax and go to sleep, then when you wake up in the morning take five min's to just lie in bed and again listen to how steady and relaxed your breathing is, now do that again next time you have an attack and you will notice a big difference, the key is to try and slow your breathing down to bring your oxygen and carbon dioxide levels back in check. This might help if you find your breathing erratic
