Healty anxiety
Yes they do overcome health anxiety, at least I did. I do however, get anxious about issues I do have that are not being taken care of. (but that's real) I've learned to distinguish between the two. You will also learn in time that it takes too much energy away from you to be looking for the next problem to arise.
Hi thanks for the reply Agora1 within this year I've thought I've had...
Cancer, heart disease, brain Tumor, thyroid problem ect.
The doctor check my blood about a year ago now and has said since that I am fine but I can't help but worry that he's missed something.
I've always been a worrier and my worst fear is being taken seriously ill but it all got really bad about a year ago when I started changing.
I'm 19 years old female, I'm very small and have always been small, I started to notice my body seemed different. My skin seemed like it'd became looser. (No major weight loss) maybe only a few pounds. Then I started waking at night I'm a real state and having continuous panic attacks, I also started to ache all the time.
I still can't work out how and why my body changed all of a sudden. I have good days and bad days but mostly bad.
Sorry for the really long reply.
Hi Panickier, have your eating habits changed? Your skin seeming
looser almost sounds like you are dehydrated. Sounds like you were predisposed to anxiety to begin with. With the "change" that you saw
it put you into a general state of anxiety. Waking at night, continuous panic attacks, aching all over (from tensed muscles) and feeling like the doctor missed something are all apart of an anxiety disorder.
You definitely suffer from health anxiety and could use some therapy to help you through this. It's not magic but it will help you to understand what is happening to you both physically and emotionally.
Don't worry abut the long reply, I'm here all the time. Take care...
Thankyou Agora1 i think one major thing that hit me hard was leaving school when I left last year. And come to think of it I did use to eat a lot more when I was in school. Everything kind of went downhill after leaving
I'm a big believer of tracing back to changes. Cause and Effect. You have just taken a step forward.
Taken a step forward, how so?
You've taken a step forward by figuring out and questioning yourself as to what brings the anxiety on. Then you can deal with it or brush it away as an irrational thought. You probably did eat better when in school. So if you lost a little weight that is the reason not to worry. As you continually find reasons why things happen you will be less anxious. At least
that's how it has been for me. and it has worked.
My psychologist says that I will always be a anxious person, but I can learn how deal with that and not let the anxiety rule my life. And it's that what I'm doing, confronting my fears, trying new things and proving that I'm stronger than this problem
I still have issues with it..it tends to act up more when I am sick...I just had to totally ban myself from googling symptoms
