I have struggled with depression and anxiety for years and can't get and help from my doctor. Antidepressants cause my mood to go really low and I can't pick myself back up. I am only taking beta blockers now for the anxiety symptoms.
I have recently been going for job interviews and I have failed at everyone they all say that I struggle with communication skills so I feel like a let down. I am desperate to get a job as I believe that my anxiety will be much better as the job should take my mind off anxiety. How can I help myself???

Hi, Well anyone and everyone who lives every day battling with their inner demons with depression and or Anxiety is by no means a let down or failure!!! This stuff takes balls of steel to live with as we all know. Sometimes we can't see the woods for the trees in our lives. Please realise that you know you suffer, yet you want a new job. You understand that this will occupy your mind to help with things. This is all positive stuff and while living with D&A you are pushing yourself which is hard in itself no? Remember jobs are not easy to come by these days and every interview you do is extra experience that builds up the confidence. See unsuccessful interviews as just that paving stones you need to jump on before that great offer arrives. Don't lose sight of the fact what you are doing takes so much effort and courage. As for the interviews look up some tips to practice, you're not in a race . Try not to get disheartened I know it's not easy and I know it's easy for me to sit here and write this but sometimes we are all guilty of losing sight and letting it get to us. Onwards and upwards!
Thank you MrMannering. I am trying to succeed so I can be proud of myself for getting a job. I have been working at a job temporary for the past 2 weeks but it's only for the next 2 weeks. I want something permanent. Yesterday I got bullied by another member of staff so I told my supervisor. All these people don't know about me suffering with anxiety and depression as they would profoundly look at me differently.
I am going to look up tips for interviews as I have got another one on Friday.
Hey keep trying, try not to give up even though these sets back may make you feel like you should. Good for you for trying. Like the comment below, jobs are hard to come by these days and interviews suck! Half of the people interviewing have no idea what your going through! Head up, here if you need another chat : )
