does anyone else get this?
it calms down after about half an hour but I was only exercising for around 15 mins and I got dizzy, breathless, maybe anxiety induced breathless?
I do focus on my breathing a lot through the day

Hi Anxietymadman it sounds like you may be holding your breath while exercising.
When we get so overfocused on our breathing, it tends to go out of whack. I remember
when I was at my highest level of anxiety, I would hold my breath going up the steps.
Doing that provoked lightheadedness/dizziness as well as breathlessness . Not coming
from my anxiety but coming from not allowing the natural process of breathing while
being active. Our body needs oxygen. Working on your breathing when you are sitting
and relaxed can help get you familiar with the feeling of calm. Practice makes perfect
and soon you will notice when you do exercise, you take deeper breaths in as you exhale
long and slow while moving. The dizziness and breathless will go away.
Always be sure to check with your doctor regarding starting exercise. Be Safe. xx
Yes I sometimes get dizzy exercising because I realise i'm holding my breath. Anxiety often results in poor posture which makes it difficult to breathe properly. One of the best exercises for anxiety is walking in nature and being present. You might also find this useful. drharrybarry.com/resources/
Do you mean more out of breath than the exercise that you've done would warrant?
Perhaps you are not breathing correctly?
Something I learned is that when we breathe deeply and get lots of oxygen while we are exercising we burn off more calories than if we breathe shallowly.
Ye so working out, I hardly notice it and then I will get a shower and go sit down and feel out of breath then when I stop noticing it goes after a while
Well checking with your doctor probably wouldn't hurt.
Are you out of breath immediately after you work out?
Or are you not out of breath immediately after exercise and then it gets worse?
It's difficult to understand the chronology/what exactly is happening from the way you're explaining.
So when I am doing my exercises for the most part I'm in addition to concentrating on correct form of my body I'm concentrating on breathing deeply in and out as I exercise so that I get plenty of oxygen to my muscles.
Since I am concentrating on breathing correctly I'm not out of breath but when I stop exercising and sit down to rest my breathing is elevated / I'm slightly out of breath.
Slowly my breathing slows down and goes back to where it was beforehand.
That's normal.
If you are not out of breath immediately you stop exercising and you take a shower and then you're more out of breath when you come out of the shower I respectfully suggest to stop exercising and call a medical provider immediately.
Ye so the way you explained yours sounds very similar to what I experience, I can climb stairs no problem, go for long walks no problem but I think with weight lifting cus I know my breathing has been bad recently when I think about it I feel like it’s subconcioua
Oh. Okay.Thank you for clarifying.
I don't know anything about weight lifting.
Maybe ask your doctor?
