Introducing myself.

Just to say hi I am new to this community. I am 77 and have been retired for nearly 5 years now. I used to travel around looking after elderly people in their own homes. I would stay up to 3 weeks and did this for about 20 years. I was surprised how many people do not want to look after their own family and the work was demanding with very little time off. There are so many lonely people on the world.

Hi Cynthia, let me praise you in the service you provided for the elderly for 20 years.

It is very sad that there are so many families who cannot or will not take care of aging parents. I remember a woman I met once who said "I took care of 5 children and yet

they cannot take care of 1 mother."

That's so true and sad eh!!!! Shame we are not more like the Spanish they look after their elderly.
