Dying

Hi y'all. I'm a senior in high school and my senior year sucks because all I can think about is dying. Especially having a heart attack and dying. I'm so scared of dying young. I mean, I want to live my life. I just wish I could stop thinking about dying all the time.

I sound like a broken record now but having the thought of dying is a symptom of anxiety - please look it up and stop stating the obvious.

Your comment isn't helpful to someone who is clearly struggling on a daily basis.

Sorry to hear you aren't doing too good just now. Maybe a wee visit to the doctor would help just to ease your mind.

I'm sure you will find this site helpful to you. Good people who understand your thoughts and feelings. You just have to ignore the odd useless comment though.

yes lo. when i was younger that was all i thought about and i thought that it was going to happen any minute. it was a terrible feeling and you just cant help what thoughts that come into your head.i had those thought nearly every day and could not bear to be on my own as i was so afraid, you must go to the doctor as your suffering from anxiety and it can be treated. i must say i stopped thinking about dying. and worrying about it a very long time ago and i was very glad. but i did go to the doctor and i got help, it can either be medicine or talkilng therapy or both. dont be ashamed as i was ashamed as i thought i was mad with some of the thoughts that i had and did not want to tell anyone about them.i realize for me that those thoughts came from my childhood. but that doesnt mean that we are all the same. my mother used to get the bible out and tell me to put my hand on it and say god strike me down dead if i tell a lie. and of course i was telling a lie so thats where my fear came from. it took me many years to realise this. so please go to your doctor and get some help as its not a nice feeling suffering with this.
