Scared I have bowel cancer!! Anxiety

Will a normal blood test detect it.. I'm so scared! Someone mentioned it today and then I'm my head I have it too

Sounds like you have Health Anxiety

But you would have to have symptoms to have bowel cancer and I think you would know if something was wrong and would not have to wait to hear someone mention it

I would go to your Doctors , tell them your fears , let them reassure you and maybe tell them how bad you are with your anxiety when it comes to health and see if they can offer you some support

I do know how you feel , I have had Health Anxiety for years , I control it a lot better than I used to as I have learnt how to reason with myself but now & again something will come up and I am of again so I know what you are feeling & thinking but the Doctor hopefully will put your mind at ease x

I have anxiety and I'm currently waiting for cbt.. It's so tiring isn't it!! I've had every illness you can think off! The doctor has checked my stomach so many times and told me I'm fine even the bulge in my stomach that I know is my colon 🙈 But I still worry about why I can feel it! I brought a book called dare and it's really helped me so far I've not long started reading I just have to accept u have anxiety! Thank you for replying
