I just asked a question about anxiety, explaing my feelings. But I am seriously wondering if the IUD could be effin up my head! I just looked at the flyer for Mirena, and mood swings and depression are in the list!! -_-

Hi Ztefany. In answer to your question. I had the mirena coil fitted several years ago and it gave me terrible mood swings. I had it fitted as I suffered from endometriosis. If it had been for contraception I wouldn't have put up with it and had it removed. I was also told that my fibrous womb and cervical erosion were caused by it a few years later. But that may have been just me!

Do you still have mood swings after the removal?

I had it removed 5 years ago and it just seemed a relief. I don't remember any mood swings once it had been removed.
