HI Wendy x Sorry to hear you are feeling this way, there will always come a point with anxiety when we think what's the point and I think you have hit yours x Its a daily struggle yes, and the more we try to get better the more of a struggle it can seem, but please don't give up, maybe go to see your gp and see if there is some meds or a therapy you could have? We can have some good days to and try to think of these positive days and how you felt on them. Keep chatting it also helps xx Donver xx

If not then maybe a good time to see gp and ask for some help??

It is a horrid feeling, I hope you feel more positive soon!

Hi Wendy,

I'm so sorry to see you feel this way, I was just wondering do you have any children? - if so are they old enough to maybe understand what you're going through.

During my early 20's ( I'm now in early 30's) I suffered with depression for about 1 yr, even though I didn't have any children then I would find myself spending more time with some younger members of my family as I felt extremely lonely & the more I would stay in my own apartment I could feel myself slipping deeper into more into a depression.

If you feel as if you really have no one to turn to it might be a good idea to speak to the Samaritans for example as I do think you may regret if you consider taking your own life.

i have 4 children all grown up .. Two still live at home and really don't understand my problems.. I would not consider taking my own life but at this moment in time i think i need to be a mental hospital

Would it be a possibly to pack a few things so you could go & stay with one of your eldest child?

It may help to be able just to have a change of environment, sometimes it can be the slightest things we see in our everyday lifestyle that can make us feel worse.

Hi Wendy,

How are you feeling this morning? Did you get some sleep last night?

I think what Abenaa suggested might be a good idea - see if you can stay with someone, perhaps a close friend, even just for two days. I know sometimes when I feel low I don't really want to 'hassle' my friends but usually when I mention later how I felt at the time, they always say if only they had known and I would have been more than welcome to stay at their's for a bit! But I know it is hard and I understand the feeling of just surviving another day and the feeling of 'what if this is as good as it gets?'. I really do feel for you, Wendy.

I hope that today is a new day for you and that you could perhaps treat yourself to something to nourish your soul - sleep, a bath, healthy food, a massage or something like that. You're not on your own with these feelings, hun, even if it feels like it.

I am thinking of you.

God bless,

Christine

Hey Wendy

Let us know how you feel today hun....... Do you take any meds?? sometimes this can help to lift the mood if you can take them..........

Also, Im not sure of your situ, but could you maybe join in with some things going on in your community or do some voluntary work?? Sometimes when we feel isolated we feel low..........

I suffered a period last year where I coulndt leave the house, but slowly Im getting better, I make myself do something everday, its a battle, but one that I will win!! Im not quite ready to get back to work and I was hoping when this sick note ran out in two weeks, I would be, but I dont think I am but I will continue to push myself.....

Keep posting on here, people understand!!

Luv Ker xx

Hi Wendy

I am sorry you are feeling really low at the moment & I do understand when you say every day is feeling like a struggle , I have had many times when I have felt that way to !

At the time it does all seem pointless yet something deep inside keeps telling me there is light at the end of the tunnel , its just gone very dim ,but keep going because it will get brighter !

Have you any days in your bank you can search for & bring them out or you could make some days to try & bank even if its just been kind to yourself , doing something for you , sitting with a big box of chocolates & watching a movie or something , anything to remind yourself just how special you are because you deserve it , even though this anxiety tells us at times we don't !

I have been on a waiting list for over a year to see a psychologist , more or less the first time I have ever asked for help as such having struggled with anxiety in & off for over 30 years , so I understand your frustration , but we will get seen & hopefully soon for both of us :-)

Might be silly to suggest as I expect you may have already but if you need someone to listen as well as talking on here the Samaritans are always there

hi wendy, hunni please keep your head up,remember its the anxiety symptoms that are making you feel whats the point etc hunni our thoughts are soo powerful but the human body is also very powerful so maybe something real physical(pushing yourself outside your limit) to prove how strong you are and that the mind will not win???? my anxiety has been going on since may/june so i am not as experienced or knowledgeable as alot of the lovelies on here, but i do know that we have to push ourselves very regular to give us confidence that we can do it. incase i have not seen your past posts,do you know where your anxiety came from hunni? mine related to a friend dying young of cancer and since then every bruise/pain i get anxious, the dizzy spells and foggy head really upsets me thinking thats where my illness or worse is. love to you wendy xxx
