So this whole day I've had sharp pain in my left side of the abdomin, sharp then dulls out. About four fingers from the navel
And this ball feeling in my esophugus area if I laugh or cough I feel like there is something there and it hurts. I do suffer from acid reflux last weeks X-Ray said I showed constipation but bloody HA has me thinking it's something worse.
gut feeling says that because of the constipation something scary is hiding? I felt weak after the pain went through me. Sorry again for being a pain and thank you all for your time. Oh and when the pain happened I also felt a dull pain in the left side of the chest. I did give into temptation and drank cola and coffee and for lunch/dinner lasagne all are bad for acid reflux and the caffiene for the anxiety
And I can't use my strength or the diaphragm area hurts
Now it's inbetween my shoulder blades center of spine is it gas?? Or something else?
It's your health anxiety for sure playing tricks with your mind.
If you are anything like me then every twinge will be magnified in your mind a million fold until you get yourself believing its bordering on terminal.
I'm pretty sure you just have constipation/ gas (they often go hand in hand for me).
Thank you anxietyang for replying. Does it really magnify it I feel stupid sometimes example this pain started in my side I feel like it then travel to my belly button area then spine between shoulder blades, then ball of neck and I feel pressure in my left ear. In other words it like if a thrombosis traveled up and I can feel it on its way.dumb I know but it's what I feel. Now I have a headache is my imagination?? Omg I sound like I've really lost it.
Hi sorry thing's are not good at the moment I also have a lump like feeling in my throat it's to the left of my Adams apple it seems to vary some days it's present is realy uncomfortable & other day's it's hardly noticeable, I've had it about 6 weeks doctor just fobbed me off.
I also get chest pain mainly left side sort of under my nipple. I had heart monitor fitted waiting for results as i hardly get a day without chest discomfort should get the results this week. It's looking like my symptoms are similar to yours & are likely to be healthy anxiety. I'll let you know my diagnosis. Take care.
Thank you for replying. Yes that's what I feel at times and the doc brushes it off and asks if I want my anxiety med upped.
And please do share, maybe it well put us both to rest.
I think this is the worse type of anxiety to have! It has wrecked my life and I am so depressed as well!! Is any one on a medication that has really helped??????
has anyone addressed your constipation? I get constipation all the time because of medications/diets. I use Milk of Magnesium and then I have diarrhea for a couple of days but after that, I feel better. As for your HA...how old are you to be thinking thrombosis? The throat "lump" kinda thing could very well be indigestion/heartburn it also causes some pain in the chest as well. The space in between your shoulder blades needs to be addressed with the dr. If you are female, it could be a forewarning to heart attacks. Those are some of the signs for women. Men could also have this but isn't typical. The pain on the left side of the abdomen could be your ovary getting ready to pass the ova to your uterus. I have pains in my left side for a week and then it stops and within a week I start my period cycle. Do you monitor you blood pressure and heart rate when these are happening? If a dr tries to brush you off, stop them and tell them that you are the patient and you really feel that something is wrong and that they have taken an oath to preserve health and that it is a lawsuit if they treat you like you are crazy and brush you off. REGARDLESS of anything.
I use to be a paramedic a couple of years ago but had to stop because of physical limitations.
Daylyn could you please clarify re saying pain in between shoulder blades could be a warning of heart attacks. They are my worst fear and when I mentioned to Dr getting pain there he said it was muscular.I especially get pain there when I move, cough or sneeze. I knew stomach ache could be followed by a heart attack with women but this is a new one. Since reading your comment my anxiety has escalated, especially as I have a couple of cardiac issues. Thankyou Cathia

I can understand how this might have made your anxiety worse but please remember your GP has examined you & describing symptoms is one thing , but once you have been to see your GP who have your medical history along with examining you , it is your GP who has the experience with his patient that knows best
Please dont get more anxious

Why why thankyou so much for responding so quickly. Unfortunately I do panic and am now quite shaky as well. I feel I will have to have yet another appointment with the Dr to hopefully get some reassurance. This is now another symptom to worry about with regards to a heart attack. I spend most of my time worrying about having a heart attack among other things but this is my worst fear.
I would like to add it is so nice to see you back on here. Best wishes, Cathia

Please though even though its not easy , dont doubt your GP , they know best & we are not here to diagnose anyone , we may have opinions but thats all
If you need reassurance from your GP , I understand

Hi Cathia.
Please don't get yourself upset there posting replies like that can cause more upset than good especially to some one with HA I do suffer with HA as well, if you go to your GP and he says it is muscular then believe him. If he had any possible concern it was your heart he would act accordingly

Hi Cathia,
I get a lot of pain in the same areas you are describing. The pain you describe between your shoulders sounds like indigestion, I got it in a really bad way when I was pregnant!!!!
Plus I have now realised it is anxiety and not my heart because I don't get it every day and when I do it goes away again when I calm down. So I worked it out that I haven't been having a heart attack for the last 20 years!
Take care xxx

Thankyou Kenny-w and winter 12 also why why again. I understand what you are saying but as you know logic is hard to find with health anxiety. If I read or watch anything that is to do with the heart I immediately start a panic attack and now to have this extra symptom to worry about has made it worse. I do not watch any medical programmes in order to avoid this but is is difficult not to read the posts as you do not know what is going to be there. I am sure people post for the right reasons but sometimes a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
Even if my Dr manages to reassure me I will now always think I am going to have a heart attack if I get back pain. ( As I do with arm aches, stomach pain, chest pain.. and shoulder pain etc etc.) I sound like a lot of fun don't I !!!!

I'm so sorry I didn't mean to get you upset.
Pain between shoulder my doctor also told me it was muscle related costochondritus inflamation of the chest wall that can radiate all around the chest shoulders shoulder blades and if all that hurts it well travel up to neck and mid back, this was at the hospital, he reassured me and then he left, onather doctor took over didn't know what was wrong and with his assisment he also said the same thing. But with the HA my mind refuses to accept that.
Ok hon, I wasn't suggesting that you were having a heart attack. I have STRESSED my shoulder muscles to where I had to wear a criss-cross type thing around my back and my arms went through it. I was like a vest of sorts. Coughing and sneezing would bring me down to my knees because of not being able to move. You could have pulled a trap muscle that you aren't aware, Just go to the GP and have them x-ray your shoudlers and back and lungs. I do apologize if I caused you more undue stress as that was NOT my intention. I should NOT have put out that I used to be a paramedic either. Cause at some point or another what I say will get me kicked out of here adn I don't want that to happen
Hi daylyn thank you for the reply,my constipation she (dr) just said that I was constipated nothing else. I'm 25, blood work recently was good except that one of my liver enzyme numbers were slightly elevated but I'm guessing cause a week prior to that I was taking ibprofen and naproxen for pain in my leg through doctors orders.
Pain inbetween shoulder is slightly different the usual but the tingly prickly feeling doctor had said it was stress related.
Everything stress related.
They don't give me a chance to really explain myself I have caught a few scoffing or smirking when I tell them my symptoms. I have never accepted their referrals for stronger pain meds because I tell them 400mg works for me and I also have high pain tolernce and I know I'm bad at taking meds that I don't want to overdose so they can't be thinking that I'm complaining just to get drugs. I have though about laying a lawsuit some of these doctors just make me feel worse.
Indigestion will mimic cardiac pain. It is surprising how bad it can feel.
Called the doctor and insists its constipation my sides hurt today and feel weak dunno I have a dry cough due to a cold I have going on when I suck in my tummy the pain is worse it's around the whole left side of navel
Trust what the doc says, if she's sure it's constipation then it most likely is. Have you taken any laxatives or anything? Gross conversation but maybe give it a go. Sorry if that's stating the obvious but if your anything like me when your anxious then you may not have done/ thought about the obvious. Take care. X
