I made my New Years Resolution to get healthy. I promised to workout 30 minutes everyday, but my body is hurting. Working out in your 30s is so painful and I am wanting stop after 10 minutes of physical activity. My motivation is so low...I just want to sleep, but I am dragging myself to do something.
I am stubborn, but I am struggling. I want to do 365 days of workouts....I want to get healthy. It has only been 8 days since I started!!!
My anxiety is getting so high because I want to quit, but I know I am over-weight.
My depression is going into affect and it makes me not want to do anything.
My exercise journal is so depressing to read because I am admitting I want to just go back to bed.
Any advise to push through the depression and anxiety to complete my goals???

It sounds like you are setting your expectations too high
There is nothing wrong with starting at 10 minutes a few times a week. When we set goals that we can't meet we will always talk ourselves into being a failure.
Well done for doing 8 days! It sounds like you are doing too much too soon. You need to build up to 30mins and you also need to build up to doing it everyday. Remember to say kind words to yourself and not beat yourself up when you don't complete your daily goals/aren't consistent. Congratulate yourself on the fact that you are even trying. Also, it might be more fun to do an exercise you enjoy; this will motivate you more to move. Something like free-style dancing to music for 10mins will help you lose weight, ease your anxiety and help you relax. I'm in a similar boat and I'm struggling too, but I'm exercising 4 times a week instead of 7. I'm struggling with motivation, so I've decided to print off pictures of someone who is my ideal weight and who I find inspiring, and put the pictures up around the house. I hope you figure things out. Best of luck.
