Discovered Something New

I discovered something new this week...apparently my brother is a trigger for my anxiety, depression, ptsd, etc. Kinda sucks since I love him more than anything. I don't know how to have a regular day without not talking to my brother. Does anyone have any coping mechanisms that might help?

Hi Karobbins,Thank ýou for your post.

Has your brother actually said or done anything to trigger you in the past? 🤔

If so, you will benefit from talking about your history with him in a clinical setting.

If it's the present time, reach out to him for the purpose of educating him about what bothers you.

A good starter statement is "when you do xxx, I feel xxxx. Can we talk about this?"

This can be awkward so practice it a few times.

Communication with love is the key.
