Im widowed. And my kids are adults one is at home. I am struggling with just being alone not having any one to speak to. Find comfort in. I can't afford therapy. At least not good therapy. They just hand me pills.

Welcome to the community. So sorry you're having some difficult times. I have found a lot of comfort and kind people here, and I hope you will to. Chat anytime 😊

sorry about your circumstances. therapists don’t prescribe pills let alone hand them out. what therapy are you in?

I’m a little confused. Sorry. you went to ‘one’ as in a psychologist referred by your general practitioner?

Welcome to the community.

In your bio you describe yourself as an old lady:( You are far from old.

What do you do to keep yourself busy? Do you work? Have hobbies?

I work, I took some time off to do a full physical. And there was no good news I had a small stroke I never knew it. Only reason I found out is because I had a MRI done for nuro. So now I'm over thinking it. While shutting down over been in the house 4 days straight. Looking at old pictures and I can see my eye lid drop on one side o have low set eyes naturally so most wouldn't notice.... But my mind has been like this long sentence just going like madness

I'm very sorry that you suffered a stroke. Naturally that would cause anxiety to escalate, it's very frightening.

We are here for you. You are not alone

perhaps you might want to join a bereavement group. It helped me after my mom passed. I lived with my mother. So I was used to having someone in the house with me.
