I wake up every morning and the catastrophizing about future starts right up.I read stories about how badly older adults are treated and my isolation and vulnerability hits me in the face.
I just turned 65 it wasnt s happy birthday. I have no one close by who cares about me and my mental issues have driven people away.

I'll be 68 in a few days🤫 I live by myself, I'm stuck with myself due to bad health, lack of transport and finances, I want to get out but I can't most of my old friends have lost contact with me, obscure contacts with my family, they know I'm ill🙄, I look at tv that makes it even worse, the older generations don't seem to provided much by that medium, so I bore people with my troubles on this site, a good bunch, they have helped me through a lot over the last nine years👍some good craic as they say from my part of the world👌
I agree the gap between the younger generation and the more 'mature' is growing all the time! You are not alone in that respect, the younger think they are running the country🙄 I'm still firmly rooted in the 20th century👌
All these elections coming up this year, maybe a chance for the younger generation to show how forward thinking they can actually be, after all THEY are running the world🕵️♂️🕵️♀️🤞
You would think they could learn from the old, [respect them a bit more?] but oh no they go off at an obscure tangent drawing faster to the end of the dying planet🙄
Absolutely agree with the attitudes you're seeing. Rage does me no good -- and teaches the arrogant indifferent so-and-sos no lesson, so I try to mutter under my breath and move on.
I am 67 and I know what you mean about being treated differently. Do you have a counselor. My counselor has helped me so much. I started to volunteer and met nice people. Do you go to church? My church has many groups. I hope you feel better soon.
