As long as I remember i have taken supplements of one sort or another, I only have to read how good various supplements are and I have to buy them, so much so it's an obsession, and the bottom line is i have never felt the benefits of what they claim.
Only last week i bought 6 months' supply of Focus Pro which claims to help with energy and concentration, and they state within 30 minutes you will feel the benefits, well, i can tell you now, four days later i have felt absolutely nothing.
The only recent thing that seems to work is Valerian Root as an aid to sleep, it really has made a difference.
But of course with taking so many supplements its impossible to know what's good and what's rubbish.

I'm sure you aren't the only person who does this. The flood of advertising for supplements and skin care products that reverse aging is relentless. I've bought some myself and have always been disappointed. Usually no result except less money in my pocket. So I gave up. I do need to take Vitamin D for a efficiency and take Vitamin C when I have a cold. That's it. Some people swear by many things. But they aren't regulated by the FDA and the fine print doesn't guarantee results. So I try to eat healthy and stay hydrated. I found that's the best thing for me. Maybe you could make a list of things you really want to do and save up money for your list. I hope that helps.
The advertising of supplements and such like is morally bankrupt. The language used is often prepared specifically to prey on our anxieties and fears. Outrageous claims are also often made with culpability then denied with lines and lines of caveats in the lettering that is so small as to be unreadable. Of course, some products are actually backed by clinical data. But there are nevertheless lots of quick fixes that are little more than snake oil. Please don’t get sucked in by all the BS.
