My therapist had to cancel our live session for this Thursday and suggest to switch to another therapist. Her doctor said that she needed a break and to have her focus on her physical health. She canceled all her appointments. I am pretty bummed about the short relationship we have established. I have been with her since January 16, 2024. It's pretty short but she was very helpful.
Also, I finished watching an very emotional anime called Assassination Classroom. It has a lot of very emotional moments and scenes. Getting this news right after finishing the anime series was not the right moment combination. But oh well...
Sorry.

It's unfortunate your therapist had to take a break, just when you found one who suited you. Yet there are others, and she may well have been in dire need of the break if she had a long list of patients,
Therapists and doctors can burn out in the same way as the rest of us, and The Post- Covid period has thrown up a lot of new patients with various forms of depression, and guilt that they could not be with loved ones who were leaving life.
I hear this and all of the "scary" and exhaustion and the everything around this. You will get through this. I'm not the best at this but I am trying better self-talk myself. Nothing stays stagnant. Embrace the change. Look for some positives. Good luck.
I’m sorry to hear that, friend. I hope and pray that you’ll find another caring therapist soon. Until then, take good care of yourself and stay strong. Sending hugs your way.
Ugh - I'm very sorry. Finding a good therapist is not easy and then to lose one once you've found them is so frustrating. I hope you find a new one soon that you really like.
I would not take this personally. It stinks that your therapist is needing a break but they too have their own challenges. My PCP left a few months ago and I was quite sad actually. I get the sense she needed time off.
