The relief of a tablet!

Well, I'm not one to moan about my health condition, but since June I've been suffering with terrible headaches ( cluster) they've been absolutely been brutal. I've been on a long term medication previously and it stopped working, and I've just started taking a new medication πŸ’Š, the headaches were so severe they had my crying, and often would have 4/ 5 a day, or even wake me up while I'm asleep, I had an emergency injection pen with sumaptriptan which I could only use twice a day, the specialist even suggested oxygen therapy at home, but I've still got a gas fire which is a fire risk, however, after nearly a week I'm free from these headaches .

These headaches are referred as suicide headaches as the pains are so intense, I'm so thankful for this medication and I can hopefully start getting some well earned sleep, and not even once have i been bad tempered with anyone since I've had these headaches, that's because I live on my own 🀣, oh well hope everyone had a great Christmas πŸŽ„ πŸ™‚

I am sorry to hear about your headaches but it is great that you recently found relief from a new prescription. I have had headaches so bad that I was screaming in pain the emergency room for hours until they gave me an epidural, although I have been disappointed with how little understanding there seems to be about headaches and their causes. I am also glad that you are able to sleep - it can be years between head ache attacks for me, but they seem to be multicausual. If I am under a lot of stress, not sleeping well, not excercising, and maybe most importantly not hydrated, I am setting myself for debilitating headaches. Enjoy your rest!

Thanks for your kind words, I totally sympathise with you, and seeking help on these headaches was a long process, there's so many different types of headaches, and getting the right medication will work for so long and then it stopped working, I'm so grateful there's another tablet available, but this is my last option,I hope you get some relief from your headaches soon 😊

If your headaches are that severe, you wouldn't have the energy to be bad tempered. I hope the pills work for ever. Enjoy your sleep.😊😊

Yes it was my way of trying to have a sense of humour πŸ˜€, it's been a long road trying to get on top of these headaches, and unfortunately the old medication no longer worked, I really sympathise with anyone who suffers with long term headaches or migraines, there's so many different types of headaches and even the nerve block injections i was receiving in the base of my neck didn't budge these headaches , I wish you a happy new year and the very best for the 2024 πŸ₯³
