Dusk. If I’m sitting in the garden on a day where the sun goes down but it’s not quite gone dark this makes me feel “odd”.
Certain flickering UV lights.
Days that are super cloudy.
Does anyone else experience this? I hear others say things like “oh that’s a weird light” and totally get over it but I’m there thinking there’s something wrong with my head / makes me feel like I might pass out but I know that’s because I’m just thinking and thinking about it!
I do have astigmatism so the optician did say I would be more sensitive to light than the average person but I know I overthink it so much I make it worse.
Just wondering if anyone can relate?

I can get that way too. Not all the time, but sometimes if it's gloomy outside I feel off, or if the lights aren't on inside before the sun goes down. I think some of us become hypersensitive to our senses.
I would agree I am hypersensitive to senses and physical feelings. I do try and ground myself when I feel like this. Any tips that you do to work through it?
I just try to be kind to myself. Distraction with something else usually helps. I don't like pure silence so I'll put something on the tv just to have background noise, or music. Nothing loud, just so I can hear noise in the background and don't feel alone.
I feel like I could be talking to myself here. I too feel like absolute silence makes me feel anxious or off. Even when driving in the car , short distances, if the radio is off I feel “off”. I’m not sure when this started but it makes me sad as I used to love days at home chilling out. Now I feel I have to try and keep busy. I know that’s best for me but not always easy to do. Thank you for your responses.
