I walked into the taproom, by myself, for an event where I didn’t know anyone else who was attending.

I joined the group of strangers, by myself, and introduced myself and found the event.

I didn’t cow out and I didn’t turn away. I followed through.

I was present.

As a person whose social anxiety prevented college and career and even regular work for several years, this is huge.

I can do this. You can do it too.
