I feel your pain! I wear fleece-lined clothing in the house. It really helps....fleece blankets are also good.

It’s supposed to freeze here in Florida. This is what Floridians do to insulate outside pipes. I don’t think it would work on your nose, though.

The bucket is to keep the wind off. 🤷‍♀️And it adds a little pizazz. I think some rhinestones would be a nice touch, too, if the sun ever comes out again.

I'll be in a theater for 3 hours so I imagine I'll be good to go by the time it is over. It is a theater that has a whole food service menu. I love skipping out of work early for a movie sometimes.

In Texas where I am it's 10 degrees, & feels like 2 degrees, my weather qpp says, with 20 mph winds. My heater is also struggling. It's been on for an hour, & it still can't hit the temp on the thermostat (77). It never got this cold here in my mom's 70 years, she said, yet it's the 2nd time in 3 years. My electricity already, went off for a couple hours, so i hope that doesn't keep happening. 🤞 I've got a heated blanket if it gets too unbearable, tho.

Thanks, you too. It's crazy, i just saw it's supposed to feel like -25 F in Ohio tonight. That's insane. They said it's winds blowing from Siberia/Russia, that created this "bomb cyclone" weather event. The electric company has a list of "warming stations" (1st i had ever heard this term, lol), so i appreciate the information. Thankfully, my cousin called & said i could come sit near his fireplace at his house, if my electricity stays off too long. It's been really good here, where I've lived since 2007 (an apartment complex, so no generator). We've only had the 1 big outage that the entire state experienced, & maybe 2 r 3 random outages, but it was always back on within an hour or so in those cases, so I've been very fortunate.

I know someone that had a house off a mountain with no homeowners insurance because they do not insure people dumb enough to live next to a fault line! I think they sold it just in time. Doesn't matter much where you go though. The fires affect everyone from CA to CO. Floods from MS river south and east. Tornados and hurricanes south. Actic bomb in the north. Only VT is safe! For now.

I live in the Twin Cities Minnesota, the temperature has been below for the last few days, I wear sweat pants, sweat shirt and a sweater to stay warm in the house. I set the temperature at 70 - 73 during the day and 70 at night and socks for my feet with slippers. And when I'm sitting down watching TV I using a blanket. Stay warm please.

did you see the viral video of the sportscaster that had to get up at 3 am and report on it outside until dawn while the temp just kept falling and falling? He was not happy and it is hysterical. He made a montage and it is viral.
