Happy Father's Day everyone. I am currently in need of a blessing. & I am usually never one to ask but this is so very urgent and important to me.

I have the honor of caring for my 87 year old grandfather. He lives with us. I get to oversee his medicine and all things health related. We moved him out of an apartment he had been living in for over 20 years. The building was in terrible shape, mold, cock roaches and bed bugs galore. I bought him a brand new bed, twin and box spring (because that is what I could afford) we brought as little as possible from his apartment, one chair (the culprit) his long time desk and one dresser. We have cleaned sprayed, fogged, used alcohol and to no success we found his bed full of Bed Bugs last night. Needless to say we turned his place upside down. We sprayed and threw the mattress and box spring outside to burn it. We inspected all of our beds and have not seen any .. yet. Fingers crossed!! But now my Papaw, ON FATHER'S DAY no less, does not have a bed AND his apartment or 'mother in law suite' is tore apart. I am itching and cringing just typing this out. I am embarrassed regardless and I feel so ashamed. No one wants to post on the internet they found bed bugs in their home.

I am hoping someone has something they could donate until we can add in the budget a new recliner and bed/box spring for him. I can not and will not let this become a bigger issue than it already is.

Bed bugs are a very common problem. I spent a few days in a very high end hotel, and brought bed bugs to my apartment. I got a bed bug exterminator to come and he was able to completely get rid of them. It took about 4 hours. If you see any more I would try to get a professional to treat for them. Try not to be embarrassed. Many people are affected by this problem. See if there is any second hand furniture available from local charity store for a temporary solution. xx

Bedbugs are very difficult to eradicate solo; You need an exterminator.
