Hello Elizabeth, your question is truly valid. Imagine how easy life would be if there was a magic button to turn off unnecessary stress! The easiest way that works for me is watching some comedy tv show or film. It doesn't work always but certainly helps a lot of the time. Regular exercise, keeping a disciplined sleep time, spirituality and medication are some of the things that I am practicing right now to help reduce my anxiety and improve my mental well being. You can try different things and find out what works best for you.
Qigong, breathing exercises, spending time in nature.
Staying away from conflict.
