I am a respectful and peaceful person , and cant stand rude racist people .
Today I accompanied my driver to the hospital ..the receptionist kept my driver standing ..when a woman of my nationality came standing behind him she look up and called her when she finished I admit it was quick ..and the woman looks little old but she pass his turn ..i was standing aside watching this ugly situation that I know some ignorant people do ..and came to her and told her my driver want to cut paper to visit the doctor ..she told me with loud voice becz with masks we cant hear each other well she just wanted to finish the lady turn ..I looked at her puzzled ..I didnot want to argue ..I could told her it was him before her or she kept him wainting but my mind went blank and I didn't have the desire to argue with her because I felt she wouldnt admit her mistake..it was silly ...I gesture to my driver to give her his card so we can finish ..
But the situation though very fast happed I was not sleeping well the night before dealing with anxiety and was so sensitive to any situation I might go through ...i was not in my right mind ...
Hi Meera. This is Shnookie. So sorry 😐 that this situation took place. IGive you credit for keeping your cool 😎 when the clerk didn’t acknowledge your driver. U must have felt very frustrated
but wanted to achieve the goal of taking care of your driver’s needs. If U want U can lodge a complaint against the customer service of this department of the hospital.
In the U.S. now, there is a terrible problem of anti-Asian/Pacific Island discrimination.
It manifests itself in murder, physical attacks, using racial slurs and mailing letters with disgusting ant-Asian language to Asian-Americans. I’m so sick and tired 😓 of this kind of behavior. One of the things I really enjoy about this group is the diversity of our members. I’m here 4 U
One of the most disturbing things I recently saw was a footage of a 70+ year old Asian man being attacked from the back. I literally teared up. It was heartbreaking to witness such cruelty.
Hate is the reasons why the black lives matter movement occured, the Asian attacks etc, it's most unfortunate that even a pandemic couldn't suppress such hatred.
